When you have really thought it out, are making it 100% on your own, and ready for baby #2 that is when I say its time to try for it.
I was 19 when I had my first sticky baby, and 22 when I had my daughter 6 weeks and 4 ddays ago.
They're roughly 2 years and 6 months a part.
My oldest was about 5 1/2 when our youngest was born. If i had to do it over again i would've had them a little closer together because for the first 8 months at least my oldest son was mad at the world and would hit, scratch, push and pretty much tortured the baby. Now they're best friends since he is 19m walking, running and talking. They're inseparable and so cute to watch. Her was so used to being the only baby in the family ( entire family both mine and my husband's) and only child that by the time we had the baby he was mad he had to share time, love, attention or anything.
Quoting Avery Davids Momma Kali:" When did you 'plan' to get pregnant with baby #2? How old were you and how old was your first? - My ... [snip!] ... first? - My son is 10 Mons. And I've been itching to get pregnant again..just wanna get some input. No harsh comments please."
I am 24 and my son just turned 6, I just had my Iud removed so my husband and I can start trying:) Personally if I was to do it all over again, I would have had my children closer in age, I don't know how close they will be because of the huge age gap.
I had my daughter at 19 and my son at 22. They are exactly 2 1/2 years apart, my husband and I didn't want a huge age gap but nothing to close either so we thought that was a good gap :)
Both my kids were planned. When ever i was ttc baby number 2.... My daughter was 2, waited till she was potty trained and could ask everything she wanted & could understand a little more. I was 21 and bd was 23.
and it couldnt have been any more perfect timing as when baby 2 (second daughter) was born. I was 22 , bd was almost 24 & my daughter was 3 years & 1 month... so now whenever my second child hits those terrible 2's my first daughter will be in school full day (shes in half day right now) so it wont be too crazy!
although i heard closer in age would be easier but i liked that one was potty trained then i would just need to change one stinky diaper hahaha.
my kids are now 4 & 1 and i love every moment plus my first daughter got to enjoy my second daughters "first" and got just as excited as i did! :)
