Do you consider yourself to be a hick/hillbilly/redneck/etc? I really don't identify like that. I mean I consider my upbringing to be different from my husband's since he was raised in an urban area. I do have family who identify with the "hick" label... You?

No.
I grew up on a cattle farm and I'm just.... normal. In no way a "hick" or anything.

Although when I talk to people that aren't from OK they tell me I have a "hick" accent
I don't hear it though. Haha

Naw. It's sort of "cool" to act like a redneck here though...small town or not.

I went to HS with a kid that lived in an apartment in town and would wear cowboy boots and a cowboy hat... the works.
Everyone made from of him because he wasn't really "country"

Haha, but whatever. It's a "style" and if people are into it then they should dress and act however they want, IDGAF.

See where I grew up, it was very much like this. If you didn't dress like a redneck, talk like a redneck, or act stupid then you were a freak. LOL. I was the school freak as I was a "Goth". Aw, Now I miss high school.

Do you consider your husband "ghetto" because of where he's from?

3000? That's a big city. ;) My hometown has 300 people at the most and that including all the surrounding little areas.

No. This question is not meant as a hurtful question for anyone. I know many people who take pride in being a "hick". Including my dear sweet amazing Grandpaw. Plus I am a damn country bumpkin in my heart.

I grew up in the country but it was the country in California so I don't think thats really what people think of when they think of a hick lol.
