Quoting Yurvette [♥]:" <blockquote><b>Quoting Charlie's Lovely Mommy:</b>" I'll call WIC, today also gonna ... [snip!] ... 22. "</blockquote> I get food stamps. I am over 22. I have a child too. Food stamps is welfare. It isn't separate."

I'm only 19 so I cannot get food stamps. Welfare is different because it's cash benefits which means that I can buy diapers and stuff with it too. But since I lost my job I am only getting 245 dollars every two weeks. And that is supposed to buy toys, clothes, food, gas for my car, bills, and god forbid if I ever want to take him to do something nice like the zoo of the butterfly emporium (It's this really cool place in our area that's an inside garden with beautiful flowers, trees, bushes, a gazebo, and benches and there are hundreds of butterflies, birds, and small rodent animals that just run free. It's great for kids because they give them these hunny stick so the butterflies will land on them and kids can look at them up close it's so fun and DS loves it)

Sounds like BD is doing drugs again. Why else wouldn't he speak to you?

That's what everyone keeps telling me. That he's using again and avoiding me because he doesn't want me to find out.

Yeah. I know how it is, to think of someone in such a positive light and hope so badly for them to recover that its even hard to consider the thought of them relapsing. But, it happens. I've been there first hand. If you ever need anyone to talk to, PM me girl. I've been through the ringer with my sons father. And I just got a text from his girlfriend today telling me she's pregnant :(

Oh god that's horrible. I am so sorry. Even though BD has fucked me over time and time again I STILL feel bad and hesitant to file the court paper work tomorrow. Ugh I'm probably gonna p***y out.

I've never filed for child support either. I know its probably useless cause he's broke anyway, and any money he does get isn't coming my way. He got fifteen grand (yes, fifteen thousand) from his fathers life insurance after he passed away three months before DS was born. By the time we were at the hospital for me to give birth, he had 100 bucks left. He had blown every bit on drugs and motel rooms. Ugh it makes me sick still. He wasn't ready to give up his habit so I had to cut him out if mine and my sons life. Hardest thing I've ever done cause I love him. I thought he was my soulmate, really. And I always thought, even though my son is two now, that he would eventually get clean and we WOUKD be a family. But, he just found someone else and says he's going to change for her. I doubt he will, but it still hurts to think of him telling another girl that. And now, he's having a baby with her. Ugh I've been physically sick over this all day. My poor son. He's going to grow up and want to meet his dad, only to find out he has a sibling only three years younger. And if he does man up and is a good dad to his second child, how will my son feel? Yeah BD this fall with his student loans and his tax return (which he had asked if he could file for our son and I said yes because I was working under the table and couldn't myself and made him agree to split anything he got with me) had 10-15 grand and he blew it all on heroin. I didn't get a cent. He didn't even pay his child support with any of that money. That makes me furious.
