If you work full time out of the house, what do you feel is your biggest challenge? Do you feel like you spend enough time with your kids? Do you home cook every night? Do you wish you were home more?
Any tips/advice?

I just put in my resume, for a very close second to my dream job, lol. Obviously doesn't mean I'll get it, but it's too good to let pass me by. We don't need the income and I was planning to stay home until at least finished BFing. I am anxious/excited/nervous/terrified, lol. I worry I will regret missing this time with my babies.

I did work fulltime, and it wasnt worth it to me.

I made $80k a year, and all the money in the world wont give me time with my little guy. Now I work part time when SO is home so I can be with my son mon-fri

I am on a wait list for my dream job, straight weekends making $27/hr, so the best of both worlds IMO. For now Ill be going on Mat leave with my savings until that job starts.

I'm a full time student, but I think my biggest challenge is coming home and trying to get the kids to listen to me after a full day with their dad who has no rules..

This is what I fear, the money would be nice, but IDK if it's worth it. And there's no telling when I might get another opportunity like this.

Well.....go for the job, and decide when and if you get it

If you dont get it this time, you'll know what to expect next time it comes up and next time may be the perfect timing :)

Do you cook every night?

I work full time from 5:45-2:15, I chose those hours so I could get the most awake hours with my kids possible.

My biggest challenges are cleaning and keeping up on laundry.. I don't feel like doing that shit every night after working all day.

My husband is amazing and works at home while watching all the kids, he is amazing and I could never do that, so I feel like the cleaning, cooking and laundry should mostly be done by me.

One of my biggest issues is that I never get enough sleep anymore. Lo goes to sleep at 9 and I try my hardest to stay up till 10 to have some alone time with DH but I have to wake up at 445am and it sucks. DH works full time Friday, Saturday and Sunday so week day evenings are the only time we see each other. Also, when I get home from work I really want to relax but obviously LO wants all my attention. I try to do the best I can though. I'm still much happier working than I would be staying home.

Those hours would be great! Minus the whole getting up early, lol

It's not so bad now that I'm used to it and its helpful on the weekends when the baby wakes up early:)

Time management is my biggest challenge. After that it would have to be organization.
I dont get enough time with my kids and I hate it
Either my husband or I cook most nights. About 1-2 meals is out a month.

Get on a schedule. Make plenty of lists as to what you want to to and prioritize things in order of importance

Lack of sleep. My shift starts at 3 am, so I'm up at 1:30 for work. I can't get comfortable, so I can't sleep and I know it won't get any easier when I have a newborn. Also, my daughter has been acting out lately because she has different babysitters and different rules. It's hard to be consistent.
