were you/are you anemic?
Im just wondering, how many women get anemia
I have been during every pregnancy except this one, so far. I'm fine when I'm not pregnant.
I have always been anemic, except while pregnant. Well with the first I was but now I only have really low iron when I'm NOT pregnant.
I wasn't anemic until I started having children. I am this way now all of the time.
I became anemic during my pregnancy with my third child(4th pregnancy) in 2011 and have stayed that way ever since. I have taken a daily iron supplement ever since I found out and that seems to keep it under control. I was never anemic before that though.
I typically have hemolytic anemia ( a lack of enough red cells but plenty of iron) that gets under control while pregnant because pregnancy tends to suppress the immune system.
I had it in my first pregnancy and have had low iron since, but generally not low enough to be considered anemic, if that makes sense. Just low end of normal. I take supplements during pregnancy to prevent it dropping any more.
I had it with my first pregnancy but not since then. I thought I had it with this pregnancy, my fourth pregnancy and carrying twins, but I requested extra blood work and my levels were fine.
I am having my first baby at the end of July, i am anemic. I just had more blood work done last week go this week to find out if its better or not... O_o
