Quoting Tara plus 2.5:):" My son will be 3.5 in august and still not potty trained. He just doesn't care to be potty trained and ... [snip!] ... he will want to. But he also has apraxia and speech delayed so I think that's part of it. Just hoping by the time he's 16 :)"

:D :D i hope the same :P

i thought that might be part of it for us too-
we were potty training and i had my son unexpectedly at 35 weeks
she hasn't had jealousy, or anything like that,
but maybe she just likes the comfort of the diapers, esp. with seeing us change her little brother's all the time.

dd was 2.5 and we tried everything and she just wouldn't pee in the potty. so we sat the little potty in front of the tv and put on her favorite show. (bad I know) but gave her a polar pop and let her drink the whole.thing. finally while watvhing her show she peed on the potty and we had and at that point she looked down and realized so we yelled yay and kissed her and gave her a treat and stickeers. then we took her to the store and we let her pick out her own princess panties. then told her she had to pee in the potty from now on.... bc if she peed on the princesses they would be very sad. and it worked. shes been potty trained since then.

Yep. That was the first day. He would just go in it like a diaper. However I've noticed his poop schedule has changed now that he's potty trained too. He used to be a once a day pooper but now it's every other day.

She sounds like Landon, understands what the potty is for, has gone pee in the toilet so many times, just really prefers to go in a diaper instead:?
its weird, he's really unpredictable with it, sometimes he takes his diaper off and goes all on his own, and sometimes he wants nothing to with it and gets mad if I try and make him. so I dunno, I heard most kids aren't really until after 3.. sooo hopefully next month when she turns 3 it'll click for her:)

The day after posting this , i put her in undies all day long ( i knew she wouldn't have an accident) and when she had to pee (she waited a LONG time) i took her to her potty and after 5 minutes of sitting and fussing, she peed, while screaming her little head off. We danced and sang and then she got excited to flush it & etc.
Now three days later she's only in pull-ups at night (she poops in the AM like clockwork) and peeing with no fuss at all! :)

that's awesome! I'm just crossing my fingers that Abigail doesn't wait until she's 4 like her sister.
