I have been happily chugging along with my life, I have a family and a wonderful SO. Last night I get an email from this guy I dated back in 2000. He decided to inform me that I was "lazy and unmotivated" while dating. Why? I had not even thought of him in about 8 years! I turned down four international jobs while with him because he did not want me to move. I took menial jobs to help while I was going to school. He also told me that "it was the darkest, worst time of his life" because of me. Understandable I guess because I found out he was a p*******e and turned him in. I just wanted to rant. I'm pissed off that someone could turn the truth around and make themselves out to be some sort of victim. I always thought that I was better than this petty bullshit, I left him and moved on. Now I'm thinking "wtf is he saying to people?"

My ex is nuts. He texted me similar shit after it'd been so long since I last even talked to him. He told me I was nothing but a mistake, our son was nothing but a mistake, that he was happy with his new gf, etc. I was kind of like "wut?"...I chalked it up to him being butt hurt.

He sounds crazy! Don't give him the satisfaction of buying into his BS. He is just projecting his feelings. I wouldn't worry about what he is "saying". I'm sure most people that know/ knew you both know the truth of the matter.

Just ignore him. I wouldn't even give him the satisfaction of replying. My ex (we haven't been together in 8 years) likes to stalk me. He is always trying to contact me and always asks my friends these crazy questions about me. He gets ahold of my friends like at least once every couple of months..well lately every couple of weeks. He lives in this little dream world where he literally thinks I "settled" with my current FIANCE because I'm not with him  ...Even though I have two kids and am getting married next year, I must be "unhappy". He is seriously delusional. So yeah..I would definitely just ignore him!

I laughed and laughed, read it to SO and he did the same, I deleted it. I won't respond either, nice to know others had the same reaction I did to it. It is petty bullshit drummed up by a loser who is obviously living in the past. At first I had this long email ready to send to him, but then in a moment of clarity I just deleted it. I have not thought about him in quite a few years, now I can't wait for him to leave my mind again.
