I'd go to my OB appointment and forget to ask for something to help with heartburn. :( milk doesn't help, Tums don't help, it feels like just breathing gives me heartburn. Ugh.

Have you tried zantac? My ob said that the OTC heartburn medication is safer than the prescription stuff.

Try putting books under your bed frame (at the head of the bed) so you sleep slightly elevated.

I had Zantac prescribed last time, is it fine to just go buy it at CVS? I can't even lie down anymore :(

vinegar. i never did it, but i heard it helps. take a swig of it. probably tastes like shit, though, lol. i just always got by on tums, and i actually have gallstones, so i would sometimes get bad pains, but it actually was better when i was pregnant, lol. they said zantac was okay during pregnancy, but maybe call tomorrow to ask, just to make sure.

I had it so bad with my second pregnancy that my doctor put me on a prescription for Nexium. Did wonders within the first couple of days.

My SIL did vinegar. I didn't hear about it till after I had ds. In pretty sure it has to be cider vinager but idk she just said it was the only thing to work for her.
I had horrible heartburn with ds. I could t even drink cold drinks. It had to be room temp or bring on the burn. I walked around with maloxx(sp?) lol. It was with me everywhere I went. It helped but didn't work completely.

I think the taste of straight vinegar would just make me puke :( last night I woke up in so much pain and I could feel it in my throat, tried so hard not to puke. Like the pain radiated all the way to my back and I was just laying with Bug with like 4 pillows under me, almost sitting up and still had to get up and run to the bathroom.

I have all the luck, a phobia of puking, and when my morning sickness is FINALLY going away I get heartburn so bad it makes me gag/puke.

this helps! I drank vinegar the entire last 6 weeks of my pregnancy. Dilute a little apple cider vinegar with water and drink it.
