trouble with temper? ♥Love♥ TTC since Jun 2013; 32 kids; California 3981 posts25th Jun
Lately DH has been having trouble keeping his temper under control. He wants to get it under control but isnt sure where to go. Would a therapist help with this? Could he have an underlying medical issue? He is overweight and high blood pressure, I wonder if they could be connected. He will be fine one minute then something will upset him and he will just start freaking out and yelling, not at me just in general. I usually just ignore him when he gets upset and he calms down in 5-10 mins. It has been something that has started recently so I wonder if there could be a medical explanation? Maybe anxiety or something? Does anyone have any ideas?

A therapist could help, or anger management classes too. For me, I always feel better when I get regular exercise

Quoting ERMAGHERD BEEDS!:" A therapist could help, or anger management classes too. For me, I always feel better when I get regular exercise"Exercise might help him, he sits at a desk 8 hours a day. I think some of it is from frustration of gaining weight.

My SO is like this. He has underlying depression and mental issues though IMO.

A therapist/psychologist should help. DH had that problem but he has other issues and turning to anger was easier for him than figuring out how he was actually feeling (sad, hurt, etc) but DH has severe PTSD and anxiety. DH's psychologist gave him a chart and told him how to control the anger and realize what he was actually feeling.
