I just did Target because they are practically everywhere and they carry a large variety of things. I'd at least do one big box store like target or walmart for those who don't have speciality stores like babys r us, pottery barn, etc nearby.

Target is good because its easily accessible but I think you can also register with amazon. I think it's cool that you can register with places like for cloth.

I registered at babies r us, target, and Walmart. I only did BRU because of the little bag with coupons you get. It depends on what your looking to get. It's essentially all the same stuff with different patterns and prices.

I did Target & Babies R Us. But, if you have one near you...I'd suggest's awesome! We didn't have a baby shower, I used the registry as a virtual check-list so I knew what he had already bought and what we still needed to I wasn't constantly digging through her closet trying to take inventory on what we had.

With my first I did BRU and Target. Never again will I do target. Doing returns was a b***h (might have just been bad luck but it was enough to put me off them) is great especially if you have a lot of out of town family or lots of internet shoppers. With my second I did for the bedding and furniture. Not only did they have it cheaper than anywhere else at the time you get 10% cash back on all registry purchases so we bought everything but one big thing had like $80 cash back and put that towards the last item. It was a great savings.
