Fruit salad to go along side spaghetti? Faye's Mama 1 child; Springfield, MO, United States 4569 posts

We have a lot of fruit we need to eat and I can't come up with another side for tonight's meal aside from the breadsticks we are going to consume.

The fruit we have is: bananas, peaches, strawberries, watermelon, and grapes.
Would that combination be good? \=

I would just cut it all up and put them next to each other on a plate.. Im not sure about the watermelon and peaches in a fruit salad, but I think having a bunch of different cut up fruit would be yummy!

I can't imagine fruit salad without Watermelon lol.

I'd do a fruit salad, mix them all together and toss lightly with some lemon juice.

When I was pregnant I bought a watermelon and cut the whole thing up and put it in two gallon sized ziplock bags. I grabbed one bag and sat down to have a snack and by the time I realized it I had eaten almost the whole bag. O.o

We planted some in our garden this year. I can't wait for it. :)

Why not just have it for dessert? It's a good combo but it would taste weird with spaghetti lol

With spaghetti? Eh, probably wouldn't do that but if you need to get rid of them..

Those sounds like a great combination for a fruit salad. More watermelon than anything else though, IMO.

I have noticed when making fruit salads the watermelon makes the Bananas all soggy because of the water,I would use everything but the watermelon, sounds really good...
