I think she's too old to be eating baby food...she should be eating whatever you eat now even if she doesn't have teeth. Just cut things in much smaller portions.

This. My daughter will be 17 months old tomorrow and has been using a fork and spoon since about 11/12 months. She fed herself yogurt this morning and about 90% of it made it in the mouth.

She doesn't know how to chew firm foods or meat because you haven't let her have it. Any pediatrician will tell you that they should be eating table foods (what adults eat) before or at least by a year. Nowadays, most docs even recommend skipping baby food altogether. It is bland and does nothing to help them learn to eat properly. Not to mention that she is missing out on tasting lots of foods, so she could be pickier when you finally decide to let her eat like the rest of us humans.

Yeah. Mine too. I think it's obvious her children didn't because she didn't give them the opportunity to learn.

Sorry you didn't like the answers you got. Start feeding her real food and teach to use utensils.

How would you know if you arent feeding her real food? Is she still nursing or on formula? If not how is she getting adequate nutrion?

Just cut up everything you eat small enough and she will gum it. My 15 month old has 4 teeth but she's been eating table food since 6 months.
