A friend told me about this website.
I thought I'd post something. I just began TTC and want to know how you ladies can stand the wait to test? It's all I think about! How do you resist the urge to test early? I am still 6 days away from my period start date. :/

Keeping distracted as much as possible. I purposely didn't buy any tests early so I wouldn't be tempted.

The other option is get really cheap tests so it doesn't matter. They're like 88 cents at walmart or you can get test strips online for suuuuper cheap. Then you can test as much as you want lol.

Cheap tests are a good idea! I just think it would be wasteful to buy a decent test right now if I'm going to second guess the result if it's a neg.

I think its easiest to just not buy any tests! the 2ww is hard, I went through it for 3 yrs but I just didn't test myself ans waited for the blood test results from my specialist. If you test early it may just show negative when in fact it may end up positive, so why not wait to be really sure. I endured a whooole lotta bfns after hoping for the 2 weeks it would be +, but i'm glad I didn't obssess over it and test myself over and over :) Have will power and GL!

How many dpo are you? When was your LMP?
Congrats! My LMP was June 6th, I'm 8 dpo (days past ovulation) and testing again tomorrow. Got a bfn ( big fat negative) this morning. Shame on me for testing so soon! But I couldn't wait lol
Being on this site you will need to know some abbreviations lol
You'll catch on!!

Are you having any symptoms at all yet? Share if so!

Jillian!

I am 9 DPO and 5 days before my period. I am having symptoms but keep telling myself I'm just imagining it! I think I experienced implantation bleeding maybe today? Is it too early to test?

well, you could try the first response pg test, it may pick up lower levels of hcg
