Especially since bf babies tend to be smaller and children grow at different rates. I was SO tiny as a child, I mean tiny that I looked a few years younger than my peers. In jr high I started out less than 4'6" and was the shortest and although I am still semi short (5'2.5") I'm not tiny and I outgrew a lot of the girls that had always been taller than I was.

Quoting VeggieBurglar:" I always heard you take the average of yourself and the other parent's height and subtract two inches for females and add two inches for males."

according to this he'll be 6-6'1 so its about the same. lol.
What happens when the parents are both short, but the kid is taller than both of them. lol.

Is that true that BF babies are usually smaller?? I didn't know that. No wonder her doctor joked DD was fed "breast cream"! LOL She was a chunker butt, and always tall:)

I have seen some pretty chunky breast fed babies, so I don't know if it is completely true. I have also seen some pretty tiny formula fed babies. My nephew was formula fed/breast fed for 4 months, then only formula fed the rest, he is now 3 and is WAY smaller than my 2 year old son. My son towers him by about 2 inches.

my BD is 6'3 and I am 5'5. my Lo was 36 inches at 15 months. BD mother is 5'8 but she is only 18 months right now and teeny. IDK how true that would be

Eh.. I wouldn't believe it. SO's daughter was extremely tall for a two year old. Now at 6 she's the shortest in her class.

Apparently it's more weight than height, that's why for Breastfed babies the CDC recommends Drs use the WHO's growth chart, bf and fornula fed babies tend to gain more slowly after 3-6months old. Of course there's always exceptions to that rule, I had a big baby that was ebf and two little ones that were ebf as well.
