This is a story that's been on the local news lately. A transgender child was not allowed to use the girls restroom at school, the parents suited for discrimination & won. What do you all think?

If the child thinks "he's" a "she" sits like a lady and isn't wiping out the p***s in the bathroom let the child be.

If she's dressing as a girl and acting like a girl than yes, she should be allowed to use the girls bathroom. And the boys, too.

i think this story is a few months old. that being said, i look at it this way. in a girls' restroom, they have stalls (as do most boys' that i know of) so unless she's taking other kids into the stall with her, then no one would have known the difference.

They should use whichever restroom that fits the gender they identify as. Minors shouldn't be showing eachother their genitals in the school bathroom so it shouldn't be an issue. They're going to be in private stalls using the bathroom, I don't see any threat.

If she's still acting like a girl and dressing like a girl.

Or he's a boy, still dressing like a boy.

i'll say this, most that are like in the OP for example, male identifies as female. usually when doing that, they're not attracted to females. USUALLY. So when they're teens it shouldn't change either.

I just asked because the schools reason for not letting her use the restroom was that it would be inappropriate when she reaches puberty

Yeah, imo it would be even more inappropriate & even dangerous to have her use the boys restroom when she's a teen

exactly. i can't tell you how many kids had the shit beat out of them in the HS just for being gay, imagine something even more "taboo" for lack of a better word.

bathrooms have stalls. I don't see how it matters when toilets are not out in the open.

I think she should be allowed to use whatever restroom, but the only issue I had with this story is that they said she felt different at 18 months old and this may be totally wrong but I feel like at 18 months they don't how they to feel "male" or "female" it's just what they are shown.. Maybe I am totally off-base her but that's just my opinion....
