... we had hoped that bedding with his favourite character on it would make bedtime easier ... unfortunately there's still the same amount of screaming and kicking. He started off the night looking cute.

Awww what a cute lil man. Just be persistent, keep trying, it takes time to get a good sleep schedule down especially if they're transitioning from Co sleeping to sleeping alone. I think the bedding was a great idea to help get things started.

That's what we had to do with DS. He refused to sleep in a toddler bed, so, we went out and bought all Spongebob bedding, now he sleeps in it every night, even without the Spongebob stuff.

we never co-slept but ever since I started getting a baby bump he's been trying to weasel his way into our bed and kid his dad out. I don't know if its related or not but its been a nightmare.

Do super nannys stay in bed technique!!
I swear by it! My 4 year old has always been a co-sleeper, we got him out of our bed and in his bed ALL night in 3 nights (3 rough nights) but it worked! (this was just last week)

First night we tucked him in bed 20 times in 49 minutes (7 times in 35 minutes at 2:00am)
Second night we tucked him in 11 times in 7 minutes (once in the middle of the night)
Third night we tucked him in ONCE at bed time and he stayed there ALL night!
It's been that way since :-)

that's what we've been doing. He just doesn't seem to get it though ... or he does and hopes that we'll just give in.
