how do you ladies make quesadillas? thinking of making them for breakfast, lunch or dinner tomorrow and just need ideas on easy, simple ways to cook them since DS doesn't let me be for more than 5 minutes to cook, and is starving by the time he gives any cues that he is hungry.
I figured they would be perfect finger foods for him!

I make them almost daily. I use flour tortillas but you can use any kind.
-Turn the griddle/skillet on high.
-Throw some tortillas on to warm em up
-Put as much cheese as you want on one side ( I also put lunch meat like ham or turkey sometimes)
-Flip a couple times to get it all melted, until the tortilla is light/golden brown
After they're done I like to put tomato, avocado and mayo in it :) It's so yummy!!
Kind of like a grilled cheese, I don't use butter though, I use cooking spray. I lay the tortilla down, sprinkle cheese/chicken/onions/green peppers or whatever else on it and close it and brown it on both sides.
It depends how lazy I am. :D
Either boil chicken breast and shred it or cook chicken breast in a skillet. I cook it in mild-medium taco sauce. Then spread it over a tortilla and sprinkle cheese all over it and another tortilla on top. Then put it in a lightly oiled pan (like sprayed with pam) and then flip it when the underside gets golden. Then cut it like a pizza and dip in sour cream or taco sauce.

That sounds SO GOOD right now!
You can make them in the microwave for 30 seconds if you're making cheese. Just put some cheese on a tortilla put another one on top the 30 seconds and you've got some finger food.
I like them better if they're made on the stove. Same way pretty much just add flipping them to make both tortillas crispy. You might want a little bit of oil.
I like to use leftovers when I make them. The other day I had leftover BBQ chicken I shredded, added diced tomatoes and cheese.
I put one tort in a skillet add toppings. Put the other on and the press down with a plate. Flip and repeat until brown and cheese is melted
My SO is Mexican so quesadillas are a staple in our house but we eat them as a snack usually not a meal.
We use corn tortillas
Lay out tortillas and get them warm on both sides
Add cheese, Oaxaca or asadero cheese is best, let melt
Fold in half and eat.
We sometimes add ham, lettuce and avocado slices.
I make them with leftover chicken that I've shredded. Make tortillas(lol you can buy yours), great in a pan, then add cheese/meat/tomatoes etc, added another tortilla, then flip until crispy and golden brown. I like using leftover crock pot refried beans, tomato, salsa, avocado, and/or sour cream/plain greek yogurt
thanks ladies, I just made them for DS and my parents for dinner and they LOVED them! just cooked chicken breast in skillet, added shredded mexican cheese and some salsa.
it was so quick and easy idk why I didn't think of this before!
