If you are completely non religious, do you feel like something's missing from your life? I do not believe in any religion at all. I don't believe in a higher power or anything like that. But I just feel like something's missing from my life and I'm trying to figure out what it is. I'm just curious if I'm the only one or if anyone has any advice or something.

I'm Atheist. I don't feel that way, but I see what you mean.

I'm not religious, but I am spiritual. I'm not sure of anything but I feel like things happen for a reason and I believe that to be happy at the end of our lives we need to do something that makes a difference in the world.

I'm not trying to judge people by my next comment, it's just how I truly feel.

I feel like religion is just there for people to makes them feel more secure or whatever. Like there's a purpose for their life, kwim? So, I'm obviously not just going to go with the flow with a religion when I think it's all bs. But, now I kind of feel like something missing that should take place of a religion, if that makes since....

I'm not completely non-religious. I go back and forth, I'm fairly unsure. I want to believe in a higher power, but people make it difficult. I see people praising God after tragedies. A friend from school was recently in a horrible car accident and thousands of people were on the Facebook page...saying about how "God has this..." and "God won't let her die..." and "God is working hard!" and...........I just wanted to slap them. She could have died, easily...and then what? Would they blame God for not working hard enough?

And then I see the "Homosexuality is a sin" comments. From people who are divorced...or people who had babies prior to being married. So.......Other people is making it hard for me to believe in a higher power. There is a lot that makes absolutely no sense and absolutely NO ONE who believes these things can offer a reasonable answer.

Then I see little babies dying. Dying of brain cancer, being killed by family, etc...and it makes it hard for me to believe. If there is a God that is so powerful and great, a God that heals people after horrific car accidents...Why are these innocent creatures going through immense pain?

With being back and forth, I don't feel as if something is missing. I'm on a journey, my whole life is a journey. I'm alive to experience things, to learn things, to enjoy myself for a short while.....and then whatever happens next, it isn't up to me and it doesn't matter.

By the way, I'd love to talk to you about why you are non-religious! I'm interested in the reasoning behind it.

Religion is an excuse, that's how I've always seen it. The whole concept is ridiculous.

Yeah, that's also making me feel like a p***e o* s**t because I don't feel that way. Even though I love my kid (and husband) more than anything, I just don't feel complete in general.

No religion makes sense and it also doesn't make sense that there could be one religion that's right and the rest are just completely wrong and all their followers have really just wasted all their time.
