I think i have the only kid who doesn't like sweets! LOL If you give her a cookie or cake she will take a bite and make a face like you poisoned her! But... you give her broccoli and you'd think you gave her a special treat. We have to ration her broccoli in order to get her to eat some of her other food at dinner.. She's so similar to me but i still find it weird. What to do for her birthday "cake" next month...??

On Cake Boss, he made baby cakes with whipped cream because regular icing can be too sweet/ gross for kids.

My DD loves broccoli too and hated her first birthday cake.

sounds like my dd#1 she loves veggies doesn't matter what it is she will eat it and ask for more. The only sweet food she likes is Hershey's chocolate. Anything else she is given it goes to the floor

Nice idea:) I know she won't eat an actual cake, i'm sure i'll have one for everyone else but not her:( I was going to make a broccoli tower, but it wouldn't work well if it was steamed, only raw which would piss her off! LOL

maybe like a fruit cake? you can use whipped cream instead of icing and add blueberries, strawberries, kiwi on top etc. kind of like a strawberry shortcake or something.

I can completely relate, although DS doesn't like that many veggies either. He'll be 7 on Halloween and has NEVER eaten a piece of his own birthday cake. :(
