Um, having your son meet his father is wasting YOUR money. Yeah he should help out but your partly to blame. You could file for child support.

Then why don't you ask him to come here, instead, for a few days?

The way I see it is this:

Is it sad he hasn't seen your son? Yes. Is it his fault? I don't know the whole situation so I can't comment on that.

However, YOU called HIM and said that you could come to Florida. You got him excited, thinking that you were going to bring his child to him, and then said "Oh by the way, I'm only coming if you pay."

Had he asked YOU to come out, sure I could see you expecting him to pay. But you hardly give him any notice and expect him to have this money saved up on the off chance that you want to go to Florida? How is that fair?

I really dont know why YOU think HE should pay WHEN YOU want HIM to meet HIS son... IF HE wanted to do it HE would contact YOU or make plans to come THERE.... If YOU can not afford it YOU should have never offered to come down so HE can meet HIM.

I don't understand why everyone's shocked over an overpriced crib, I worked my ass off the whole time I was pregnant up until the week I had him to be able to save up and get him the things I wanted for him.

And I have the money, I'm just saying if he's not willing to pay for something it's not right. He acts like our child is free, that it doesn't cost money. He just wants the easy way for everything.

but thanks for ya'lls support (:

$1000 is a lot to pull out of your ass on such short notice.

I don't even know the point in saying this... Your husband must have been hardly working every month to only make that.

Hate to be a bitch, but it seems like you want a free vacation to Florida for two weeks. Just sayin'. Your son could sit in your lap for free, so... I don't see why you expect for him to pay for you to have a plane ticket. You could also stay with HIM, I bet, for free.

This isn't what you originally said in your first post.
You said he should pay for all of it, plane ticket and the place for you to stay.

Seriously dude... You don't have one shred of common sense so
a post like this from you is laughable.

Minimum wage varies by state. I believe it's $7.50 here. Assuming you work 40 hours a week (which at minimum wage you probably won't) you would make
$600 a week before taxes. After taxes you're probably looking at $500-$550. Again, assuming you're working a 40 hour week.
