I don't even know when I'm supposed to go to L&D. ☮Hippie Jesus☮ 2 kids; West Virginia 10560 posts

If I would follow the 5-1-1 rule, I would have been there at least 10 times already, likely to just be sent home considering I'm still pregnant.

Yesterday I had contractions that began around 1:00... 3-4 minutes apart that would last a minute, give or take 10 seconds each... and they went on and on until about 6:00, when they stopped. Completely.

Today they started around 12:00... 4-5 minutes apart, lasting a minute (give or take 10 seconds). They went on for a few hours. Stopped. Started again for another hour. Stopped. And now I feel like they're starting up again.

It's been like this for the past week or so, but today and yesterday are the only times when it seems like as they're consistently happening, they're getting more intense. But they still end up quitting.

So since I'm still pregnant, it seems like the 5-1-1 rule isn't working for me and every time, I'm more and more hesitant to go to L&D. I've been there twice and sent home. I hope that I somehow know when it's the real deal so I don't end up thinking it's another false alarm and have this baby at home.

This is frustrating!

ETA: And it's not like I can just roll on over to L&D to be checked out. It's an hour away.

I was told its when your contraction are 5 minutes apart, each contraction lasts longer than an minute & you can't talk through it & you have them consistant for an hour. But when I was in labor my contractions didn't hurt until immediatly before delivery

After a couple of trips to l&d they told me to drink like 32 oz of water and lay on my left side for an hour. If they stop don't go in, if they continue to go in.

Also, if the time in between gets closer together and they get more intense to go in.

I've been like this. Currently they are anywhere from 7-15 mins apart. But to me it's just BH and some feel stronger than others. When I went into labor last time they felt different than BH and making me poop and then I had a small gush of bloody water. And when I stood up they really increased. You will know!

I drink a ridiculous amount of water and lay down and they usually start to taper off!!

But I'm only 37 weeks so I still have probably a good week!

Having a contraction now!! Lol
