so my boys went to their dads from thursday night until today when i got of off work. well he brings them home and my 2 year old has this pacific blanket that he has had since his first christmas. he loves that blanket and wont go to sleep unless he has it. well go figure that their dad forgot my sons blanket and he lives an hour and half away so its not like i can go and get it. my 2 year old has been asking for his blanket here and there. i am so pissed of cause i dont think hes gonna sleep without it he never has. i just cant believe he forgot his blanket out of all things. i think tonight is gonna be a horrible night.

You know, that happened to us once and I thought it was going to be a HUGE deal, but it wasn't at all. My son was kinda sad, but he got over it when I have him a different blanket. Hope it goes that way for you, too!

Perfect time to wean him off it... I'm sure it was an accident!

I remember being a kid and leaving my blankey at my Dad's house.... yep, I had total meltdowns over my blankey. I slept with it until I was 12, LOL.

Accidents happen. We left DD's favorite stuffed toy on a plane once. No getting that one back!

I made it seem really special. I happen to have one of my old baby blankets and that's the one I gave him. I was like "Ohhhh my gosh, Asher! Look what I found! This was my baby blankey when I was your age! It's really special to me, but I'm going to let you sleep with it if you PROMISE to be a big boy and take good care of it..." He was stoked. :D
