I have the Graco Myride 65 for my 4 yr old, the only problem is she is getting too tall for it, and my parents told me they would buy me a new carseat for her. So can anyone give me suggestions for a good carseat for a tall 4 yr old? She is only 34 lbs so I can't put her in a booster yet.

The Nautilus, maybe? IDK what the difference in height is between the two, but we have it for DS, who will be 6 in like a week, and he's still not too tall for it.

I wouldn't get a Nautilus. A lot of people complain that the crotch strap is too short. Also, while we were seeing which seat to get my son he unbuckled himself including the crotch strap because it's one of those push down ones instead of pushing in.

I'd suggest a britax frontier. I seriously love this seat and I'd buy another in a heart beat.

the graco nautilus or the harmony defender.. they have a 18.5in (i think.. maye just 18) harness height... some of the highest out there, and they turn into a high back booster and then regular booster later on... we have the nautilus and love it.. but I've seen the defender being reccommended a bunch.. only problems with it, it allows no overhang from the seat..and sometimes the crotch strap is a bit short, but you can call them and they'll send a longer one for free

is that one of the ones that can convert into a booster when she is old enough and weighs enough?

Yep. It forward faces only. Harnesses and then you can removed the harness and it becomes a high back booster.

My son is in a graco nautilus. He's 31 lbs and 35 inches. I love his seat!

I love it. It harnesses until 80 pounds so it will last a long time.

I was just going to recommend this to her.

Seriously Tara, these ladies know the ins and outs of car seats, and can tell you which would be best for the long run.
