Colt or Colter for a boy? Fustercluck Due August 19 (boy); 2 kids; Manitoba 4460 posts

We've had Colt picked since I was 8 weeks pregnant.. but we've recently started liking Colter as well. His last name is one syllable so Colter might sound better.. these are the only two options so im not interested in suggestions, thanks so much! :)

Colt can be made fun of just as much, so.. lol.. people will find ways to tease, different names or not.

<blockquote><b>Quoting Red Bottom:</b>" Eh, Colt is a pretty widely accepted name. Colter just seems like you wanted to make it different and added a couple of letters. (That was not supposed to be an attack at you, just an observation.)"</blockquote>

No worries. I understand it does seem made up.. but ive been calling him that as a nickname for a few months and thought it might be nice to have a longer version of the name.. neither of us are fans of Coltenr

:!: I don't like Colter at all and Colt makes me think of a horse. I would pick Colt way before Colter though.

Thank you for your replies, Colter apparently means "colt herder" so either name is bound to be disliked, but we like them both.. and just wanted to see which people would choose if they had to
