you SHOULD smoke pot D&D The Master 2 kids; Perth, Australia 19989 posts

I am bored shitless at work and have been reading online articles (unfortunately due to work computer regulations I can't link them on here) about marijana use during pregnancy and parenting. In several of the articles I have read peoples responses that apparently children who are brought up with parents who don't smoke/vape are uptight, bullies, and not creative. That children who had mothers who smoked/vaped during pregnancy/breastfeeding are more mature and well adjusted as those who were not.

I can't actually find any scientific journals which either back-up or reject this way of thinking ... however I was just wondering how other felt about this.

Should women/parents who don't smoke/vape at least try to for the good of their children?

No, I don't think so. I have nothing against it, but if I smoked, I could lose my job. It's not a responsible choice for some.

Really? I don't know anyone that does except the disabled people I used to look after.

Thanks for the chuckle this morning.there is no way it's true but I find it amusing that people will delude themselves so.

Doesn't seem like a realistic theory at all haha, especially since there are millions of good people in the world and I'm sure only a select few of their mothers smoked marijuana while they were in the womb.

my work computer will let me copy and paste a certain number of characters .. this is my favourite comment.

Since there are no scientifically noted harmful effects to a mother smoking/vaporizing marijuana (during and after pregnancy), and it has been shown that smoking/vaporizing parents are more engaged with their children, I say enjoy pot, enjoy life, and enjoy your children.
If taking a few vaporized hits before going to the park helps with being a parent and producing awesomely curious children who are secure with themselves and confident in their being, then go for it and screw what judgmental jerks say. You have science on your side and the truth is the brightest light in the universe!

if you have to get high to enjoy your kids more then there is a problem I don't need anything to be creative, take my son to the park, outside to play, or anything i enjoy being with him without weed

um...no.

I have a hard enough time finding energy while pregnant, if I was high forget it! Id probably be stuck to the couch all day everyday.

Plus...I know enough pot smokers to know this study is bunk.

Negative!

What about recovering addicts? Smoking weed could potentially cause them to use again. (I mean other drugs.)

Besides that, I don't like the smell or the way I feel. And I'm not saying this happens to all people but the potheads I know are dumb as rocks, like its killed all their brain cells. They are all hardcore users though, I'm not sure if it makes a difference.
