It's not illegal here,in my state, if you have a prescription. I don't know many people that do though. It is pretty regulated.

<blockquote><b>Quoting Dr. Paradigm Shift Ph.D:</b>" Actually, I had a nasty cocaine addiction for five years. I smoke marijuana and don't do any other drugs, ... [snip!] ... who YOU know, but your blanket statement is untrue. And, marijuana is prescribed for alcoholism-and works- for many people. "</blockquote>

Well that's great it if works for you. I'm not saying that people can't smoke weed or drink when they've been an addict. I was speaking about my own experiences and the experiences of the people I know. When you become sober they teach you to stay away from all drugs and alcohol because it increases the risk of become addicted again. I'm sure that's not something they just teach here.

And we are worlds apart when it comes to marijuana, state wise. Things are much different here in SC than they are in California. So my experiences are going to be different than what you consider normal and vice versa. You viewed my statement as "blanket" and I feel the same about yours. That's just not the case here and with the people I know.

Now, if you're sober and have come to terms with your addiction and want to have a drink or a joint and can do so without gaining another addiction then by all means do so. That however is not the case in many instances.

My personal point if view on marijuana is relevant.

I find it a bunch of BS. I will NEVER do it and my child is extremely creative.... damn child has more creativity in her hair follicle than I do and I didn't do a damn thing in my pregnancy.
