Why are they inducing you ?!
And it sucks. Your contractions will be hell but needless to say mine sucked but it was only 7 hrs.

For the most part, I've heard Ladies say that labor is harder with inductions. I was induced with my last, it didn't seem any harder, painful or more intense than the others.

I was induced with my first. Pitocine started at 6 am, healthy beautiful son born at 5:40 pm the same day. It's really different for every woman and how your body responds to being forced into labor.

Labor didnt seem like it was to terribly long i felt. I was induced at 1pm was ready to start pushing by 8:30. They had me wait an hour to let him come down a but more (and my nurses had their break at the time) DS was born at 10:30pm. Contractions sucked but I got an epi so that helped. I dont know what natural labor feels like but Im hoping this time around I will. I would prefer to not be induced again.

unless they have problems, why on earth would you let them induce you? that's a ridiculous policy!

Ya, what the heck?!
Sounds like they are trying to keep it convenient for them, and not you.

As far as the induction, I narrowly avoided mine (by going into labor), so I can't help you there. Sorry.

There are ways to check on the babies, no reason to induce unless they are showing signs of being in distress. You can refuse to be induced, and as long as they are passing non stress tests, they are better off staying in until they're ready. Being induced will greatly increase your risk of needing a cesarean section.

I was induced with my third baby.
They started the pitocin at 7:15am. I was at a 2+cm 70% thinned and he was still way high. One hour later my doc came in to break my water. I was then at a 3 and 90%. About 9:45 they turned off the pitocin since I was having contractions every min. (at 9:30 i started to feel them) at ten they came in to recheck me I was then at a 5 and 100% and he was starting to move down. They gave me the last chance to get any pain meds and I turned them down. Just before 11 it was time to start pushing. he was born at 1112am

There can be major health risks with twins if they go past 38 weeks. Especially if they're in the same sac. My OB sat down with me and explained all the problems we could run into if we went too long.

Twins are WAY different than singleton pregnancies. I don't think your doc is trying to keep it convenient, they're probably trying to ensure you and your babies arrive safely.

I wasn't induced but I did have to have pitocin and the contractions hurt worse after I had it but I still had a relatively simple delivery. I'm definitely going to be stalking your page to see how everything went and praying for a healthy delivery for you!
