Quoting .chele.:" Well duh, of course. That's the most practical use of the space!"

My oldest could pull a "risky business" on that awesome floor. ;)

most of the houses on our street have been remodeled and have ac units, I wish they'd moved us into one of those!
I'm totally jealous of your kitchen, congrats!

wow that sucks. I hate how tiny our kitchen is, Joe and I sometimes like to cook together, and we can't really do it without bumping into each other.

Yep, it's like a 2X4. I can't open the fridge and oven at the same time.

I'd love a new home, bigger, wider. But I have no mortgage or rent so here is where we stay for the time being. :)

Are you staying with family? Or just a house that's paid off?

Nope, we don't stay with family. I inherited my dad's house when he died and it was paid off. We just pay the real estate taxes on it every year.

It is very nice not having that extra bill a month. It's the reason we can afford other luxuries. :)

It was the one I grew up in. Well, my parents were in the process of buying another house, so they had two. They were waiting on my younger brother to graduate HS when they bought the second home, and were planning to retire in the new one. But then he passed away, and my mom couldn't afford both without his salary. So she ended up selling both of them, and lived in an apartment for a while, and then built a new house. The new owners remodeled the hell out of it too. :(
