I'm so indecisive...Help me ladies (poll) BG ~Jennifer~ 1 child; Georgia 940 posts

A little background: My boyfriend and I have been together for almost a year. He lives with me and my 5 year old son (Wyatt) and is wonderful with him. He loves Wyatt and misses him whenever he goes to his dads. Anyway, Wyatt has met my boyfriends family a few times and my boyfriends brother is married with kids close to Wyatts age.

Heres the dilemma...My boyfriends family rented a beach house and invited my boyfriend, Wyatt and I to go to the beach with them for 6 days. I have since gone back and forth as to whether or not I actually want to bring my son on this trip. My parents are both teacher so they have the summer off and would be happy to watch Wyatt while I go child free. They live 10 minutes from me so Wyatt is very close with them. Its actually already planned that they will be watching him but as it gets closer, I am starting to wonder if I should bring Wyatt with me. There will be other kids in the house but I feel weird because Wyatt is not an actual part of their family and I basically wouldn't get a break the whole time. Its not like I would want to leave Wyatt with my boyfriends parents while we go on dates and such. If it were with my family, I would get the help I need to have some alone time. Also, I haven't been on a child free beach trip in 5 years. I just know there will be moments where I wish Wyatt was there, but if he came, I know there will be more moments where I wish I could just sleep, lay around, drink, relax, go on dates, etc.

Uggghhh I am so confused!! What would you ladies do if you were in my situation?

I'd bring my kids just because there will be other kids there and they'd have so much fun. But you do what you think is best and what would be more comfortable for everyone.

I am definitely leaning more towards going without. Looks like BG voters aren't helping my indecisiveness :)
