Every once in a while I glance at my spam folder just to make sure there's not something going to it that shouldn't. I just looked and there's one from my husband, well at least it's his name. I opened it and it's obviously not from him so I'm thinking shit, his email got hacked. So I click on the name to see what the actual email address is, and it's not his email address. His name is pretty common, do you think it's just a weird coincidence? There was a link in the email which I obviously didn't click on.

It could be. I got an email in my spam once from my mom but it wasn't her.

Was it her email address? Or just was associated with her name? It was his first and last name, btw, which is why I think it's weird.

It was her name. Not her email. And I don't remember if it was both her first and last though. They said they were in England and they needed $1000 I think. I received the email while I was on the phone with her!

I get emails like that all the time from my "friends"... it's not them but it's got their full name. Do you have AOL? It's weird but I don't know how it happens.

Ok, that makes me feel better. Umm... I used to have AOL from 12 to 18 yo, but haven't used it since (I'm 28 now).

Oh ok, I only asked 'cause that's the email server that does it to me. I don't have another email though.

Is it the email that's connected to your Facebook? Maybe they get the names from there?
