But the prosecution is catching him in a lie. More than 1 actually. I hope he gets charged honestly. He just seems so smug about it

I think persecution doesn't care and is pretty much throwing in the towel. Which is funny because he wasn't going to be trialed at first they had to do it because people wanted it done. The defense is going to win he'll be declared innocent and that's it. Oh and dumb asses are going to riot for no reason maybe hurt others like they first did when this happened.

I think he should be convicted of manslaughter and spend 5 to ten years in prison. I don't think he went out that night with the intent to kill someone, but if you're going to chase someone down and basically corner them, you've got to be ready to fight without pulling your gun like a coward and taking the persons life if they start winning the fight. Which is what I think happened. I truly feel for Travons family. How heartbreaking.

Quoting Kayla [:)]♥:" The police told Zimmerman to leave Martin alone and that THEY would deal with it. Had he listened, the ... [snip!] ... charged on that alone. He was supposed to be the leader of a neighborhood watch, he knew better than to follow Trayvon Martin."

The police didn't tell him anything. A 911 dispatcher advised him that he 'didn't have to' follow him. He didn't have to listen b/c it was perfectly legal to follow him.

It is a messed up situation all around, really. Zimmerman shouldn't have followed him but it isn't against the law. Martin's actions weren't warranted, either. Also, In Florida you do not have to make every attempt to flee, if you feel your life is threatened, before using deadly force. So if at any point Zimmerman felt his life was in danger, he had the right to defend himself with his gun.
I have been watching the trial and have caught most of it. From what I see, he is going to walk. The prosecution has to prove, beyond a reasonable doubt, that Zimmerman did not fear for his life at all.

You are innocent until proven guilty. They have not even come close to making their case, in my opinion. Even if Zimmerman does walk, he isn't going to be able to have a life. His family and him are going to live in fear forever. Which isn't right, if he is acquitted.

I hope that he gets something for his part in this young man death. I think it is wrong that I would have ran for my life also if someone was following me. We don't know if Trayvon attacked Zimmerman but it is a tragic case.
