Epidural ...are you getting one? Tiarras mommy & 1 Due December 24 (girl); 1 child; Amityville, New York 676 posts

I remember I had it done with my first but my contractions weren't even bad they just offered it to me so I did it..not knowing anything about it ....I freakin loved it!!! It was perfect, it was just enough I was able to push and feel everything when it was time to ....(my SO was so mad at me when I got it because he's from Jamaica and his mom had all children at home with no epidural so he couldn't understand why I put myself at risk and all that) , but after that night I got bad fevers and diarrhea for the next couple of days idk if that was from the epidural or not ?! ....this time I'm hoping for no epidural maybe just pain meds ...! What do you plan on doing?

I want that damn shot as soon as I walk in. Heck no some women are strong however I am not. I felt one contraction with dd and flipped out. So yes I want drugs.

My epidural was amazing, you better believe I'm getting it again. As soon as they tell me I'm dialated enough, I'm doing it! DD's labour was induced though so the contractions were pretty strong and I did 8 hours with no meds, if this labour goes fast and comes on it's own I might not need it but I definitely don't want to feel the baby coming out.

Nope. Natural birth with DD wasn't that bad. Though I don't fault ladies that get it. I can't take opiates, so getting an epidural wouldn't be a good idea.

Nope. I hated it with my first. It didn't even work. I only took it because they said I could get a private room earlier if I took it, otherwise I would have to wait until I was much more advanced in labor. I wanted that private room lol.

Nope. I had one with my first and my recovery was awful. My second child was all natural, I didn't even get to the hospital until 7 cm, and it was amazing.
Totally doing it that way again this time around.

i got it with my last and it was stupid ...for me anyways...it only numbed one side so i still felt them on the other and i had it for a total of 45 minutes or so before he was born. i totally regret it and should of just done natural again.

I didn't have an epidural with my first and I don't plan on having one for any future births either. But we'll see how I feel during labor.

I didn't have one with my first and I had a wonderful birth experience. I'm going natural again this time, too. :D

Nope I felt like I had to poop and the dr was like do u feel any urge to push? And I said not really so they let me nap for an hour lol. By the time I was ready to push the top of her hear was already out.
