Which is better ? Not that labor is any fun lol.

I know natural birth hurts more but I would love to have the experience of going natural with baby #2 when the time comes.

anyone deliver their baby without the drugs ? What was your experience like ?

Also any tips on how to get through labor without the drugs would be awesome :) thanks !

I'm definitely an epidural mama. Had them both times and will going forward.

I seriously look up to the women who do it completely natural. I gave in haha. Although those ladies usually say the contractions are the worst part, not sure how true that is or not. Also you have a higher chance of ending up with a c-section if you do get an epidural I believe and on top of that sometimes it doesn't always help.

Personally if I could go back in time I would like to have pushed myself a little more into not getting an epidural. In the end I ended up having to have a c-section. If you really want have a natural birth then try for it, if you can't handle it ask for the epidural. Everyone handles pain differently.

Well it was painful. Painful enough I required blood pressure medication

i had both and i hated the epidural i honestly felt like i failed and if i would of held out 45 more mins with my second it would of been natural ....my first was natural and i recovered faster and pushing was relief. the epidural pushing hurt like a mofo and i couldnt feel when i needed to push i was just guessing made it worse and i could barely walk after the epidural and i had twinges in my back for like a months after....with no epidural i could walk right after and no twinges just better natural more painful yes but worth it. you feel so accomplishes after :)

I'll never have another epidural ever again. My back hurt for the longest time after my second one. Next one I'm aiming for a home birth.

I had an epi with my first and went all natural with my second (not by choice). I can honestly say that I really liked the epi. My labor and delivery with my second was kind of traumatic and not something I would like to experience again.

No epidurals for me. I have spinal issues and I didn't want to make things worse.

No epi. I had an amazing birth. Not pain free, but wouldn't change anything.

I've done both.

Was induced with my daughter and I had back to back painful contractions for 20 hours.. So I asked for an epi so I could get some relief and some rest before it was time. When they checked and saw I was fully dilated they turned it off and it allowed me to push her out. Afterwards though... I contracted a virus from it and had to take ice baths and antibiotics and it was horrible. I swore I would never get another after that. My back still hurts to this day.

With my son I went all natural with him. But wish I went for the epidural with him even from my experience the first time. His birth was traumatising. We were both in distress and almost had an emergency c section. Long story short... I was fully dilated, my body was pushing on its own without me forcibly pushing. My cervix was still thickened and with every push my body made his head hit my cervix. This went on for 4 hours. They were drawing my blood, setting up and iv and gettin ready to take me for a c section when my body was finally ready. He wasn't facing the right way and his neck almost snapped from the angle I was laying. Not a nice experience.

No epi with all 5 of mine, but I was induced with 4 of them.

I voted natural since I don't have an EPI. I had two doses of morphine within 8 hours and 22 mins. I would never have an EPI. I'd advise you to get a great support system/doula & go from there. It's possible. I was 16 with my first!! Good luck!

I've done both.

My first I had every drug possible. It was my longest labour at 17 1/2 hours, and the contractions were crazy.

My second was 12 hours. I wanted an epi, but they kept holding me off saying I could go without. Just when the midwife agreed with me and went to walk out of the room to get the doctor, I screamed after her saying I needed to push....so it was too late.

With my third I really wanted an epi after experiencing an all natural birth, but it was a quick 4 hour labour so I had no time for anything.

My third was my most least painful labour, even though I suffered from horrid back contractions. But it was the easiest out of all 3. I honestly didn't feel any other pain, besides the contractions.
