My 1 week old has what I call super bowls. It seems that he poops every 20 minutes. Is that normal? My first DS never pooped that much! I am pumping to feed him, do you think its something that I am eating that is causing it. I try to watch what I eat and make sure its not too salty or spicy and cause gas but no matter what I eat he is pooping A LOT! I seem to be changing him 4 times an hour when he is awake. Anyone else have this issue?

At least I am getting my exercise going to throw the trash out every stinky diaper!

Dd would poop every feed.

Every 29 minutes seem a lot. Next time you change his nappy try gently pushing his knees towards his chest, this will help him go if he needs to and hopefully eliminate it happening again in 20 minutes.

Be sure to check to see if his soft spot is really sunken, it's a sign of dehydration

My LC told me that until your supply regulates, the fore milk kinda acts like a laxative, so they basically poop all the time. DS would poop at every feed and in between. But I would check for signs of dehydration.

I'd say normal. Every time I changed my daughter's diaper when she was a newborn there was always poop. She pooped a ton until my supply regulated and she started eating less. Now that she is on solids, sometimes it feels like we are back in newborn days but with 4 or 5 huge poop diapers lol
