It was pretty horrific. Thank goodness I was living with 5 men. They took care of it for me but man, if I had been living alone...

I don't even want to think about that.

Yes. I am completely, wholly, and irrationally terrified of bees, hornets, wasps, or any variation thereof. Completely. I go into blind panic. hahahaa

I don't mind bees or wasps but I will freak the hell out around a lizard or bug.

I would lose it if I saw a nest of those. I have never seen a spider that big in real life

In middle school I cried and had a near panic attack because there was a wasp in the same VERY LARGE choir room I was in.

Last year I discovered wasps were building a nest behind my side view mirror in my car. Mid-drive. Because 2 of them popped the f**k out of there when I was driving. And my window was down. Dear lawd.

See... lizards and snakes, totally fine with me. Probably because there aren't too many in NY that are poisonous.

Oh trust me, I did. I think I ended up sleeping in the living room that night. That was the first time I had ever seen a spider that big myself. It was horrific. I think there were only like 3 other nests but still... knowing that those were just the ones I could see... :shudder:

Is it sad that this thread is Making me sad with all this killing spiders talk :( I save spiders. Every spider I see goes back to its outdoor home. Usually after I look at it or after I let my students investigate them. We have a huge spiders at work. They could be those but they are so fun to look at.

When DH first moved to Kentucky before we got married(He's from Quebec), he nearly went straight back home when he saw the size of the spiders we have. He is absolutely TERRIFIED of spiders, way worse than I could have ever thought about being. He will literally break out into a sweat and almost have a panic attack when I end up forcing him to kill a huge one for me. Luckily, we've only found a couple big spiders since moving to Indiana, but it took him an hour and a half to kill the only one I managed to talk him into getting rid of.
