sticking with grandma GoldenGirls 1 child; North Carolina 1221 posts5th Jul
We have been living with my parents for a couple months, while DH is deployed. I am, and have been, DD's main care taker for her 20 months. I know it's completely normal, but she would rather be with her grandma than me. She doesn't shun me, but I have to be her discipliner, and grandma is nicer and gives in more. So, naturally, she wants to be playing with grandma. Still hurts, especially since I've been a SAHM since the beginning with just her and I. I know I should welcome the alone time, but it's hard when we did pretty much everything together.

My oldest loves my mom.My youngest just started getting attached to her.Everytime she walks by he screams and wants her to pick him up.My kids are smart and knows that they can get away with stuff with my mom.It kind of makes me mad because my son would dump the dog water over soaking the whole kitchen and tears my dads letters off his dresser and my mom think its fine and they dont have to be in time out.My youngest likes to pull his brothers hair until the point my oldest cries. But when the kids touch her 1000$ lap top that is when they need to be in time out..My youngest almost dunk my 500$ Galaxy phone in dog water and to her it is not a big deal to be put in time out.Ugh my kids get away with alot when im at my parents house.Like they know and get buck wild.My oldest always talks back to me here he does not do that at my house.
