So I had my son almost 6 months ago, and it still hurts to poop. Like it seriously feels like I'm pooping a butcher knife and sometimes, there is blood when wipe. I dread having to go #2 number. It makes want to cry almost, and then I will be so sore down there afterwards.. I thought by now everything would have healed up.. Did anybody go thru this or have any idea what could be going on & what to do about it?

Sounds like your either constipated or got a hemorrhoid or both. Up your water intact as well as your fiber intake and try to do some exercising (even a little walking) and that should help move things better. You could try stool softeners for a while too.

Stool softeners, love. Go get a generic brand if you're hard up on cash but make sure they're not the laxatives. Only stool softeners. Take them until your bowels are regular again and you're healed up. And drink lots of water.

This!

And don't push when you go, just let it slide out by itself. It might take longer, but it helps with the pain.

YES!
With 1, I was too embarrassed to ask my Doc (I know, silly!)
With #2, I was NOT putting up with that again and asked my Doc. She said I had internal hemorrhoids. Basically, she couldn't see any externally, but my symptoms were that of hemorrhoids (from pushing during childbirth). I treated them with OTC hemorrhoid ointment (the kind you have to insert into your bum -yuck!)
Thankfully, they went away soo quickly, I want to say within about 2 weeks.

Thank yall. I'm definitely going to be investing in softeners. I'm guilty of not drinking enough water or exercising as I should be. But I'm gonna change that. I swear I'd rather go through childbirth again than taking a poo. Lol.

A small tear. It will bleed when you poo and it will hurt when you go but doesn't hurt at other times
