Yea, that is allot cheaper! We just bought our house last year and have been working on getting the yard ready so we can start a garden! We spend a lot on fruits veggies and herbs/ peppers

We're just leaving now. I went over my budget. We spent $192. I had to get toilet paper & diapers. The majority of our grocery bill is meats or fruits & veggies. We're supposed to be planting some fruit trees soon. I hope we haven't missed out planting them this year.

i make about 3000-3200 after taxes a month for a family of 4 (3 kids and myself) i spend like 100-150 a week on groceries.. punkrockprincess made me a budget and im actually saving a bit each month now :)

we do cloth diaper and use cloth paper towels alot of the time, so that helps. as well as earth friendly cleaners (lots of vinegar and baking soda.. and vodka :P) but i have a dunkin habit lmao

im alot happier with how our finances are now than 2 months ago.

When I went shopping that day, the 10 lbs of chicken was 9 dollars and the hanburger meat was 15 lbs for 16 bucks. People always go crazy when I say how much it costs us to feed our family for a month. The cost of living is extremely low where I live. I guess that's one perk of living in a small ass town.

That makes me sad and jealous lol We went shopping yesterday and got 10 lbs of frozen boneless skinless chicken breast from Sams club for $16, and 3 lbs of ground beef from Meijer for a little over $5.

We are a family of 4 dh and I and 2 ds's (2 1/2 & 5) We need at least 2,600 a month to just pay bills and grocery shop. Then we like to have an extra 4-6 hundred a month to save/birthdays/ Christmas/vacations. So bottom line we need 3, 200 to be comfortable. We bring home about 3,500 a month.

Kudos to you on living on $15k a year!!! We could never live off that sadly. I was just wondering, can you save money on that income? have birthday parties/ Christmas/ vacations? Or is that just bills?
