it would be even better if you dropped the unnecessary A, but it's still a good name.
Harper always makes me think Harlot, but its a middle name. no one cares about middle names.

That's because she's little and hasn't experienced the hassle. She'll eventually learn what kind of burden you've slapped her with.

I have only ever heard Teagan for a girl, and that's the way I've always seen it spelled. I've seen Keegan or Keagan for a boy but not Teagan.

Years ago I wanted to name a daughter Tegan, then I met a lady who named her boy Tegan and it made me back off the name. But when I had my daughter my mother brought the name back up. I still like the name, and she almost ended up Tegan, but we ended up going a different route.

Hahaha my husband and I got talking last night about baby names and we actually are changing the name completely.

He said he likes the name, as do I, but we both agreed we're just not in love with it.
Funny how I was so dead set on the same an then after talking to DH and myself having second thoughts we agreed on something else. Hopefully this is the last time it's changed. I have family that want to get cute personalized items and I would hate for them to get something with the wrong name lol.

I did the same thing with DD. I would decide I loved a name, and my brother would make fun of it so after days of deciding "this is it" I would change my mind. I decided on one, and he wouldn't stop making fun of it and then I thought, do I really want to name my baby this name and everyone else think the same thing but not actually say it to me?? So I changed it, and the name she ended up with is one he didn't make fun of. I honestly wasn't even set on it throughout my pregnancy, even when she was born, but I couldn't think of anything else I would want. I love it now though, I can't imagine her being called anything else :)

I just got to thinking of what would be a nickname from Teagan. Like my name is Amanda, but every since I can remember I've gone my Mandie. I don't like the name Amanda lol.

I still like Harper for the middle name though.
DH and I decided last night that we both like Genavieve. So Genavieve Harper. I remember when I was a little girl and would play house I would name my baby doll Genavieve. I grew up with a huge obsession with the cartoon and movie Madeline. Her dog was named Genavieve lol. It's very French which I like. My mom is French and her side of the family. I think it's very old fashioned sounding and very beautiful. We figured for short she can just go by Gena.

That's cute! The whole nickname thing was another reason I changed my name. I can't imagine not being able to call my baby by a nickname, as silly as it sounds. The name I liked was "trendy" I guess. I've never heard it (but that's probably why). I still think it's cute, but I wouldn't name my child that. The name was Avianna. My brother's like "isn't that like, water??"... uh no, that's Evian. lol. I couldn't think of a nickname for that to save my life.
I went with Alaina though, and everybody calls her Laney. I feel like Laney is super cute for a little girl and Alaina is a good, strong name she can grow in to and be proud of.
