Like 17 and younger? How did you tell your parents? What were their reactions? What was your boyfriends reactions? Are you two still together? How is the baby?
I lived on my own at 17 but I just flat out said, "I'm pregnant."
No need to beat around the bush!
Say it in person, if possible! Texting is a horrible way to relay the message unless that it the only or safest way!
Edit: Boyfriend was excited! We married (now divorced) and my daughter was ten weeks early but is now a happy, healthy three year old!
It's like pulling off a bandaid, you just have to get it over with.
I wasn't a young teen so its very different, i was 20 when I told my parents (19 when I conceived), it sucked but you just have to get it over with.
I'm still with the dad, he was wonderful and still is and we're married now with two more kids. My parents are wonderful involved grandparents.
Goodly I to you. Have you thought about all your options? You have more than one.
Well, I'm sure they know you're a teen already.
But just tell them. I didn't get a chance, the doctor told us both when I went in and I hated it,
Remember that you have three options.
I was 17 when I got pregnant. I'm not with the douchebag anymore. He tries to make my life hell.
It didn't go over well with my parents but after he was born that changed.
& i just read your other post. It's too early to know, yet. stressing out will only make your period late. stay calm.
It's too early to know if you're pregnant or not. Just because you had sex doesn't mean you definitely will get pregnant! Just sit back and relax until you can get a real pregnancy test!

Thank you :) and omg your pic XD
Quoting Imreallyscared:" Thank you :) and omg your pic XD"
well you said you had sex about 1.5 weeks ago, and your period is due in 2 weeks? so you had sex RIGHT AFTER your period ended, right? you wouldn't have been ovulating then.
When I was 17 and pregnant. I had my school counselor help me tell my mom. I told the dad at the time on the phone. A few days later my mom and I told my dad at my grandmothers house. I ended up having a stillborn at 24 weeks.
Im no longer with the guy for damn good reasons.
Quoting JiLLiAN.:" lol. well you said you had sex about 1.5 weeks ago, and your period is due in 2 weeks? so you had sex RIGHT AFTER your period ended, right? you wouldn't have been ovulating then."
Yeah, and I realize it was early and is HIGHLY unlikely but I happen to be one who freaks out over the smallest things and I know theres always a chance but I guess I just have to calm down and wait 2 more weeks for my period, and no matter how much pain this time Ill be happy with my period
Well, I ended up not being pregnant BUT...
At 16, I straight up told me mom that we had sex, we know the condom broke, and I was midway through my cycle so pregnancy was a high possibility.
She asked me what I would do if it did happen, I told her, and then she said she'd help and support me every step of the way.
The possible father at the time is now my husband. We've been together for 10.5 years. 3 years after that occurrence, I did get pregnant and she's now 7.
i was 18 but i may as well have been 13 in my dads eyes. im 22 now and he still thinks im 13 sometimes he can be a bit of a control freak (which is where i get it from lol)
but i didnt tell him.. i didnt even get the chance to tell him.. my sister blabbed on me because she didnt want me to deal with the stress of him freaking the hell out on me.. so he had time to absorb it before he approached me.. i wouldnt say put your self in that situation though. and its hard to give advice not knowing your parents personalities or what you want to do choicewise with your pregnancy. (if you are pregnant since you didnt state that)
id sit down with them have a friend or sibling or cousin even for moral support and parents tend to yell LESS when theres a witness lol explain that it was a mistake but you know the road that lies ahead no matter which decision you make and go into it with knowledge (i mean research your decision like crazy) and approach them knowledgeable and prepared for their million questions like what were you thinking and what do you plan to do and who is the father and what are they planning to do to help out.
very serious situation when a teen finds herself as pregnant. Neither is it easy to crack the news to her parents, neither can she take care of herself without any knowledge of it. That is why is better to use precaution during the intimacy, else the family has to bear the burnt. Many a times boyfriend leaves too after knowing the problem. So better be cautious rather then repenting it later.

This is totally helpful advice now that she's already had sex.
How generous of you.
