Evy is seven weeks old. She got thrush a couple weeks ago, and got constipated, and we started having problems breastfeeding. The problems have gradually gotten worse, and today she is almost refusing to eat. She acts hungry, but wont actually latch on to me, or a bottle. She gags, and sometimes wont even take her binky. Were taking her to the doc tomorrow, but id like sone ideas ahead of time so that I leave there with an accurate diagnosis. She has had a lot of gas, and ive been using equate gas drops and a little caro/water. Shes constantly fussy, and I know shes colicky but that doesnt explain the gagging and not eating. And when she does latch on, she doesnt stay on long and gets very upset. Im determined to breastfeed, although I might have to supplement. I just want my baby to be better!! Help!

She could be going through a growth spurt, sometimes my son wouldn't eat much at the start of one. How many wet daipers has she had today?

Two. Shes very fussy and sometimes cant be calmed down, so its not a growth spurt. Also she had blood in her diaper, but I was tokd it was nornal, just hormones. Idk if its connected or not.

You need to take her to the pediatrician. DD went through a nursing strike at that age and wouldn't take anything we finally got 4oz of pumped milk in her and she nursed after that. If you can pump try syringe feeding her a few oz she might nurse after that.
