if my ex and i finished our court process and got our final paperwork, it says he can claim our son all years, but that i cant. hes not paying child support and hardly sees our son. i want to take it to court to have that changed that i can claim him considering i support him on my own. would i be able to do it by mail? our court house is 3 hours away (where i used to live) and im going to be staying with my newborn once hes born in boston childrens hospital for a few weeks so i dont want to chance missing court. would i be able to file the paperwork in the mail and send in a letter or something?

That's crap. YOU were the one caring for him full time, YOU should be able to claim him.

I am almost certain that you have to do it in person at the court house.

Off topic, but Boston Children's Hospital is absolutely amazing. I'm not sure if you have had to deal with them before or not. But your LO is in good hands there. My DD just had to go there a few times the past 2-3 months. They are great.

They are great. I was in the pediatric oncology department and the surgery center and both had amazing staff. They made my daughter feel so comfortable and loved. Even the mail man at the hospital was so sweet!
