If you did't find out the sex of your baby until it was born were you disappointed if the baby wasn't the sex that you were hoping for?

I'm kinda hoping that this baby is a boy and i'm worried that i'll be kinda sad if it turns out to be a girl.

I wanted DD to be a girl.. an hour before she was born, I said "This baby has to be a boy for how stubborn it is!" Boy, was I surprised to see a vagina! :lol;

I partially didn't find out the sex of my first for the purpose of not getting gender disappointment. How can you be sad about a baby not being a certain gender when it's in your arms! I couldn't. I wish I coulda kept this one a secret too for the same reason (especially since it is my last) because I had such horrible gender disappointment. :( I'll never get my little boy but I know it'd have been easier on me had I left it a surprise.

I can't say personally, but I have a couple of friends who kept it a surprise and didn't have what they were hoping for. They said that it didn't matter after going through labor and seeing their baby for the first time though.

Bot finding out was the best!!!! We didn't care about the gender, just wanted healthy. Instead of the doctor telling us, my husband got to meet the baby first and announce to me "it's a girl!". We were shocked because everyone took beta on a boy. We have 2 girls and am totally happy. Out chapter on having kids is over, and if I need a boy fix, I can snuggle my nephews. My brother got the 2 boys :)
