We waited about three months. I didn't care for the new sensations much (I was still having some general discomfort bc I tore like a champ lol). It was almost another three months before we did it again... the other night it was pretty good, but still not what I'd call "normal."

... it's possible you'll have a new normal like me. Or it will feel even better, like for some of the ladies on here. Do what feels right to you but I'd at least give it those 6 weeks! Lots of mamas haven't though.

I did not wait. At all. I was 6 days PP when I had sex with DH again. A lot of women on here have given me shit for it. It was my choice. I don't know how long I will wait this time. But I hear you can get an infection from having sex too soon.

We waited until 3 weeks PP. But I was cleared by my OB at 2 weeks PP and I had an emergency c-section at 26 weeks so my cervix wasn't open at all. That may be why I got the okay so early.

I wait. Always.

You can get an infection and so fourth. I never understand why people rush into sex so soon. Just wait! No one will die.

The infection thing I completely understand! -We will wait until my Dr says ok for that reason (I have a 4 week appt with OBGYN to check and make sure my anxiety meds are good and I will ask then)
As far as another pregnancy, we will be good by then ;) vasectomy

My mother didn't wait after one of her pregnancies and she said she enjoyed it, lol.
I'm not "ready" yet but I can feel myself starting to want to, which is why I asked everyone else's personal experience. With our first it was about 4 weeks pp, but I was cleared at 2 weeks, and he was deploying for the first time back then and we weren't waiting til R&R, lol.

With my DD, I waited 4 weeks. I had stopped bleeding and the two stitches I got were healed (dissolved). With my DSs, I ended up waiting at least 8 weeks. I stopped bleeding after a week, but it wasn't really on my mind most of the time that they were in the NICU/CNBU. When I knew that they'd be fine and it was just a matter of weight gain, I was back to my hypersexual self. I still didn't get any until a week after my tubes were tied, and by then both boys were home and we were really tired and busy. I was still horny but he wasn't, haha. Eventually I got my fix, though. :D

Seriously, haha! I'm just really glad for anti-depressants, they've made it so much more bearable. I can function!

As others have said....When you give birth, the placenta detaches from your uterus. It creates an open wound that needs to heal. Introducing the germs from a p***s, semen, condom juice, etc.....can cause some serious infection. If you don't use condoms, then....You're chances of getting pregnant again are very high.

I can't believe your doctor cleared you at 2 weeks. If you're still bleeding, you're not healed.

I waited 5 weeks or so, until the bleeding stopped and had been stopped for a few days. Sex really isn't that great that I would have risked another baby or a uterine infection.
