I don't really have any advice as to why she may be doing it but, IM SORRY. That sounds exhausting :/ Maybe you could try putting a potty training potty in her room ? Let her know that big girls go in the big girl toilet and babies have to use the little potty ? I dunno if that's like embarrassment and horrible for her psyche or something haha but, something along those lines might be worth a shot ?? Good luck momma, hope you can get it under control !

I'd get her checked out for a uti.

I think the potty is a good suggestion. I would try doing that so that way if she is peeing in her room, hopefully she does it in a place that can be easily cleaned. OP I hope you get the situation resolved :(

Take her to a doctor. Could be a UTI, uneasiness about the new baby, attention.

The fact that you "spanked her like you never have before" is quite frankly upsetting to me.

It seems like a regression/jealousy issue. If she is special needs she's not going to understand how much it frustrates you whether you spank her or not. Maybe put her back in pull-ups and explain the whole 'big girl' thing again.

Take her to the doctor. If it isn't anything medical, having her doctor talk to her and kind of scare her about it may work. My kids were being too experimental with each other's bodies and were not listening to me so I took them to their pediatrician who gave them an earful and we haven't had one issue since! Haha!

I have no idea why she would be doing that, though.
I see people suggesting a UTI, but I'd think she would be expressing to you, esp at her age, any discomfort. Maybe jealousy? Try having her help with the newb more? Give her little
jobs and responsibilities to make her feel like she's doing something super cool and important?

:!:
It's so bad to spank out of frustration and anger.

Ok. Stop getting mad at her. She is seeking attention whether it be negative or positive. You need to set aside time for just you and her. Make sure she is included in the new baby and that she is the big sister now and has to be a role model. Make her life into more positives.

Some kids go through regression, it's especially normal if a baby is on the way. She hasn't been pt'd too long either, so maybe she's hitting that phase where playing and doing other things are more important and she tries to hold it too long.

I need her to get it through her head. It's every fucking day. What would you do??
I tell her every. Fucking. Day... All the time to pee in the toilet.

I'm going crazy repeating the same thing. I've told her therapist About it at school. She sees them 3 times a week still in the summer too.

I'm so frustrated. So frustrated.

The upheaval of a new baby. Normal 5 year old fears. A uti.

She didnt deserve spanking at all.

Is she non verbal?

I'd put a potty in her room too

Make her wear a diaper or pull up.

I totally get that you're frustrated but spanking her probably isn't going to resolve whatever issue is making her pee on the floor. When I am frustrated, I just go into the bathroom because when people are frustrated and angry and they use physical force against their child, it can easily turn into abuse. I think the potty is a great idea but maybe try taking her to the pedi...maybe it isn't an issue the therapist can help with and it is a physical thing. IDK. I just wouldn't want you to accidentally hurt her.

That's understandable but you need to cut her a little slack. Her whole world has just changed again. A child that young regressing is not all that uncommon.
