If you are induced when do you consider the start of your labor?how do you determine how long your labor is..Do you start when you first have contractions or when the contracrions start being timed out?

I would say when they start induction.

I counted from when they started pitocin, thats always been the first step for me.

I always say I was in labor for 24 hours, because that's how long it took from when they started to when I gave birth. But, I was only in hard labor for like 7 hours.

Ok thank you..i was induced and i wasnt sure..i started the pitocin around 9am on may 4 (of 2012) and my water broke at 4am and thats when i started having bad contractions then i had him at 8:55am on may 5...ive been curious what to call my labor but never asked til now.lol
