I had a girl on my fb... it was actually my sister's neice (husbands side..) had her 11 month old FF in a graco nautilus.. the straps were on the very top harness height, the insert still in(supposed to be taken out after the first slot), straps loose, and chest clip at the crotch buckle... to top it offf though, she just completely left off the headrest... I privately messaged her and politely told her what was wrong.. she ended up saying I was causing drama, that I had no common sense and deleted me ... whattttever, I did my part, now its on her.

Sounds like my cousin. Her baby was FF at 8 months and now in a booster at age 2. I just want to slap her.

Seriously.

And it all depends on how you approach her. I gave my cousin car seat info after seeing her newb strapped into her car seat incorrectly and I just told her that I loved them both and wanted to give them info to keep her baby safe while in the car. Sent her a link and left it alone after that. It's really not my, or any one elses, business what she does with the info I gave her.

My sister approached me about the chestclip not being high enough with my first, I was really grateful for the advice, I know she was only telling me out of concern for my baby.

I think the way the subject is approached has alot to do with the outcome.

Definitely. Idk who wouldn't be grateful for advice like that, especially if approached the right way.

Agreed. I gave her the info, told her it was unsafe and that I was just looking put for her and she just didnt care at all. I think I was nice about how I approached her being that she messages me constantly for advice, but the second I have her a piece that she didnt want to hear she got all mad.

This is not a case of not wanting to ERF, this is a case of not even following the basic minimum of the LAW. What she is doing is illigal, not ignorant. However she may feel (legs are too long, he doesn't fit well, blah blah blah) means nothing when it is the law to have babies RF until 12 months and 20 lbs. I don't really care who FF their children after that. Would I do it? Nope, We are ERF, BUT not everyone is and that is their choice. This chick however, is breaking the law and putting her child in grave danger. Very sad!

100% agreeing with you! I tried to tell her all of this out of genuine concern and she couldn't have cared less! Oh well, I tried!
