My mom was insisting that now that I'm pregnant I can't carry my son anymore. Isn't the rule of heavy lifting that you can pick up anything that you're already used to picking up? He weighs 50 lbs. I also carry 50 lb bags of dog and chicken food twice a month.

Unless you are high risk you can do any activity you did prior. I was moving sliding glass doors and heavy wood windows in my work's warehouse up until I had my son.

As long as you aren't advised not to by your doctor it is ok!
