I woke up with a headache and sore throat and my throat and a small white patch on the side where it's sore. Anyone know what it could be?

Strep throat

Strep throat. You should be seen immediately. Strep is rough on the heart, when left untreated.

They are puss pockets. And won't go away until you have medicine. Try warm salt water to relieve them some.

go to the dr or med express, especially if you are pregnant/have a little one, its not contagious after 24 hrs of antibiotic treatment. I used to get it so bad at least 3 times a yr, feel better !

Yes. Its a bacterial infection in your throat. Has nothing to do with your tonsils..

Tonsils are just lymph node in your neck. They can swell when you have an infection. But it doesnt mean the infection is in the tonsils themselves.

Oh okay, makes sense. This explains why my son was on a nursing strike. I think we both have it. I'm going to get antibiotics in an hour

I would definitely speak to his doctor about antibiotics for him as well. You are contagious until 24 hours after antibiotics have started. Thankfully the last time I had it DS was on antibiotics for an ear infections so he didnt catch it. :) hope you feel better!
