DS will be 2 next month and just recently he's started giving me trouble at nap time with rolling around and squirming away from me. His bedtime is around 8pm and wakes up between 7-7:30am. He still wakes up every night but, not for anything besides wanting me to sleep with him in his bed and not alone in his crib. I usually try laying him down around 11am and he used to nap until 1. They're getting shorter and shorter but, now he seems to want to skip it but, he looks tired and gets crabby.

Should I try changing his naptime to an afternoon nap before giving up naps? What time did/does your toddler take a nap or if they did/do at all?

TIA!

I would start doing afternoon naps. DS would nap about an hour after lunch and would sleep for an hour or two.

Yeah, 11am seems early for a nap. My son is 20 months, wakes up around 7, naps around 12/1 and sleeps for 2.5/3 hours. He goes to bed at 8 and sleeps all night (finally)

Quoting Jackie Burkhart ♡:" DS will be 2 next month and just recently he's started giving me trouble at nap time with rolling around ... [snip!] ... naptime to an afternoon nap before giving up naps? What time did/does your toddler take a nap or if they did/do at all? TIA!"

I used to have my son go to nap 12 in the afternoon every day until like 2 months ago when he didn't seem to want to nap anymore. I changed it to 1pm now and he sleeps just fine. Hes 26 months. So bumping it back will probably work.
